A flood wedding with green water, a photographer saying four hours of dancing is “too much,” and a pair of Jordans that literally self-destruct 45 seconds into a basketball run. That’s the kind of day you only survive if your DJ business runs on systems, not stress, so we start with a major show update: Beyond The DJ Booth is now presented by LeadExcess, and Joe explains why he’s been using it for over a year. The key distinction matters for working DJs and multi-op owners: it’s not a lead generator, it’s a lead converter built around fast follow-up and consistent conversations that push inquiries toward one goal, a meeting.

From there we hit a pop culture minute, then get into a real event-industry pain point: why DJs keep getting left out of photo galleries even when the booth set-up looks incredible. We vent, but we also offer a practical move that’s helped us get better DJ content and stronger vendor relationships without making it awkward. If you’re trying to grow your wedding DJ marketing, your Instagram, or your website portfolio, this part will feel very real.

We also talk planner outreach with a Taco Tuesday style luncheon and gifting ideas that are actually useful, then shift into gig talk with a five-hour Studio 54 disco themed party and the crate finds and edits that kept the crowd engaged. We wrap with a gear corner backpack review and a bigger conversation about hobbies, time management, and staying healthy for the long game.

Subscribe for more DJ business strategy, share this with a DJ friend who needs better systems, and leave a review so more working DJs can find the show.

New Sponsor And What It Does

SPEAKER_10

What's up, everybody? Welcome back to Beyond the DJ Booth. We are live in Raleigh. We got a brand new announcement. Because this is no longer Beyond the DJ Booth with nothing else. This is Beyond the DJ Booth. Presented by Go on Lead XS. I'm Brian B, one of your co-hosts. And next to me is Joe Bunn. What do you think about that?

SPEAKER_08

It's a great call. You know why?

SPEAKER_10

Why is that?

SPEAKER_08

It's a good ass company. It is a good ass company. And Craig Loftus is a good dude. He is a good dude.

SPEAKER_10

You know, I know I don't want to speak for you, but I'll speak for myself and say that uh I don't like to take on sponsors unless I believe in the product or am using it. That's just kind of the way I am.

SPEAKER_08

What have Squatty Potty called?

SPEAKER_10

Even if they gave me a million. Squatty Potty.

SPEAKER_08

I would be like, I might think about it. But it's quad. I still can't concept standing up on the edge of the toilet bowl, squatting and shitting. That's what squatty potty is?

SPEAKER_07

Like this.

SPEAKER_08

Oh man.

SPEAKER_07

Like an owl. Like a damn owl. I think you're like I think you're shitting like this.

SPEAKER_10

But they call why do they call it the squatty potty? I get it, but is that the regular potty? No, I get it. But is it a specific potty that holds the weight?

SPEAKER_08

I think there's some sort of rim or something. Holds the weight and look it up. So you're like sit you're yeah, I mean, because obviously, like nobody can perch on the bowl like this. It's gotta have some kind of have a larger hole. Yeah. I would say thender.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. Well, if they call, we may have to look at it. Right. But I say all that to say that uh for us, it's not just a money grab, right? Like you actually believe it, before the this even came about, you were using lead excess.

SPEAKER_08

We've been on lead excess before, right? A year plus right, right. And look, I you know I talk to DJs all over the country. It's probably how I spend half the week. Right. And I know that there are people that are that are having a down year, and for whatever reason, we are having a great year. And I don't listen, I'm not gonna sit here and go, 100% of this is due to lead excess, which is a system. I I'm just gonna explain it the way that I understand it. And as somebody that really doesn't run the admin of the business anymore, Randy kind of does that. I'll explain it in the simplest way I know how. It basically is responding to every lead that comes in from whatever direction and immediately starting a AI-generated conversation that we had input all the prompts in. Right. And basically just trying to lead them to a meeting. It's not trying to book a show, it's not saying give me a deposit. It is basically trying to lead them to a meeting with one of our 25 DJs. That's it. I and I'm not so sure that I think we have six offices. I know at least four or five of the six are all using Lead XS. Now, if you're not getting, I'll say this. If you're not getting an abundance of leads, no good for you. It's not a lead generator, it is a lead converter, right? If that makes sense. Right. So I'll just that's the way to dumb it down the best ever. I think you can hit up their site and uh uh you know, book a consultation, book whatever. Uh Craig's gonna lead you through it. But that to me is the simplest way to explain it. So, like I said, if you want to check it out, you want to set up a consultation, you want to see more about it, it's leadacsai.com and it's L-E A D E X C E S S A I dot com. Lead XS AI, don't forget that part, dot com. Craig will take great care of you. He's a great dude. If you're coming to the DJ Collective, he's gonna be here as well. You can talk to him about it there. But happy to have them as a new sponsor. Yeah, happy he supports the show. I'm happy to support his product. And like I said, he didn't just ping us and be like, yo, what do you think about this thing we you know that you have no idea about, and I'll give you some money. I've been using this for at least a year, maybe more like 14 months. So I'm happy about it. Love it, love it, love it. Thanks, Craig, and thank you, Lead Excess.

SPEAKER_10

Moving

Patreon Shoutouts And DJ Collective News

SPEAKER_10

on, we've got our Patreon back room. Let's do it. So we got two people we need to shout out who are members of that back room. First, Brent Carson from Mountville, Pennsylvania. You ever been?

SPEAKER_08

No, no, he needs and then Rafael Los from where? Dortmund, Germany. Dude. I'm about to go. We're international. You should say hi to him. Stop by Dartmouth. I'm going to Munich. Dartmound for Oktoberfest. That's right. Raphael, let's have a beer and wear some later hosing. Ashley said I have to wear later hoses. Yeah. That's what Ashley said. It's like you need to do it. Bro, I'm trying to look at me. I'm kind of look German.

SPEAKER_10

I think you kind of do. The bald head really kind of goes. That's what I'm saying. I'm gonna be out there just killing it in the later hosing. Get a pretzel while you're out there? Yeah, sure. Ooh, that's awesome. Well, we got the DJ Collective coming up. By the time this drops, we got less uh almost a little over a month. Okay. And we got a new talent announcement to bring to you today. And that is DJ Shelley, who is an RCF sponsored DJ. Not bad on the eyes either, if I do say so myself. I agree. I agree. You seen her play? I have not. She's good.

SPEAKER_08

I saw her in another conference.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. Good. So she is going to be setting the vibe when everybody arrives. Registration DJ. We haven't done that in a while where we had a registration DJ. I know, I like that. That's kind of good. It's a good way to see the conference. You gotta have music.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, music, music, music. Just a mix. Energy, energy, energy. Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_10

So we got that happening. So if you want to see her play, or just hang out with us. Come out.

SPEAKER_08

Right on. Still got a few tickets left. When does this episode come out, Brian? September 30th. Okay. Right on.

Pop Culture Minute And Viral Clips

SPEAKER_10

Let's hit the pop culture minute.

SPEAKER_11

Brian B. Jobon. Dropping heat just for fun. Pop talk spinning like a record spine.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_11

Pop culture class where the stories collide. Two DJs bringing the flavor we're wow.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_10

So Kelly Clarkson, did you see this uh karaoke thing she did? Yeah, somebody said she killed that song golden or something like that. I got a little clip here. You gotta see this, bro. Like, is this a ghost?

SPEAKER_11

I was alone.

SPEAKER_10

Original key, this is in. Most people, even the demon hunters, don't do it in the original key. I mean, she's up there.

SPEAKER_11

She's a queen that I'm meant to be.

SPEAKER_10

I literally think she's the only singer who could pull this off. The range is ridiculous. She does a great job of going from the falsetto. Chess boys. Yeah. What is this one? What is this? I mean, dude. Sorry I fucked her up. But she this was the most requested song. Apparently, she has a segment on her show where she does karaoke. Bro, she killed that shit. She this was the most requested one that she ever got.

SPEAKER_08

This went crazy viral. Crazy viral. I've never seen this segment in my life on her. Okay. But this somebody sent me the maybe it was you. I don't think it was you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And bro, it's not tuned or anything. No. With a live band? Right. Crazy. Smoked it.

SPEAKER_10

And that is not an easy song to sing, I can tell you. That range is insane. What else we got?

SPEAKER_08

Um, but I do believe she's on oh oh oh zympic. You know. Anyway.

SPEAKER_10

This next thing was crazy, bro. Did you see this wedding in the Philippines?

SPEAKER_08

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_10

Where it reminded me of your boat story of you uh taking your gear on the boat and it kind of fell off.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

They literally had a flood at the venue.

SPEAKER_08

This is somebody we know or anything.

SPEAKER_10

No, and they did the wedding anyway.

unknown

Stop, bro.

SPEAKER_10

Here you go.

SPEAKER_08

Bro.

SPEAKER_10

Where are you putting your speakers? Not a whole lot of people are in attendance, apparently.

SPEAKER_07

This is disgusting, bro. Why?

SPEAKER_10

Hey. That's when you know you're committed. Either the venue is holding you hostage with it with the fee, or you're just like, I'm doing it no matter what.

SPEAKER_08

Wow. Is that crazy? I have not seen that. That's real, too. It's on Fox News.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, it's gotta be real.

SPEAKER_08

It's gotta be real.

SPEAKER_07

Unsanitary.

SPEAKER_08

It's gotta be real. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, why is it green? What's in that? You know there's fish and shit in there. There's like people in the back, too. Dude, me and Saekwan were at the beach recently. He's like, I can get in that water, I can't see the bottom. Actually, it's the same way.

SPEAKER_10

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_08

They don't like it if they can't see the bottom. They won't even get in the ocean. Oh, that's crazy. And she's out there just trolling around. You know, some little piranhas out there.

SPEAKER_10

Wedding drills and everything. Yes, bro. It's cooked. Oh my gosh. We got one more, I think. This

The Photographer Take That Sparks Debate

SPEAKER_10

is a photographer, hot take. Oh no. This is gonna get you riled up.

SPEAKER_08

But it's gonna lead into this isn't this that douche that Drew sent us the other day, is it? I don't think so. Okay. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

From nine to one, it's all dancing. That's four hours of the same shit. Like you're not. I didn't know that. Well, if you know what you're doing, I think a photographer or videographer can make that in 20, 30 minutes, they can capture the dance door and get enough for what they need. If they know what they're doing. But you do not need two, three, four hours of photographer and videographer capturing dancing. I know it's time to celebrate, but you do not need it, I promise you. Unless there's something happening at the end. That's true. You see, everyone's fed everyone's fed up here. Everyone's fed up. We're taking we're taking breaks. We're doing like 20 minutes break, 20 minutes. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_08

What do you need a break?

SPEAKER_10

Because they don't want to be out there taking this taking dance photos. They feel like they can get it all in 30 minutes.

SPEAKER_08

I don't I don't agree with that part. Yeah. Number one, I don't want to play a four-hour dance set. But number two, I I don't believe that you can get it all. I don't have a problem with the break part, actually.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

I I actually don't have a I guess I have a problem with them saying that they could get it in the first, you know, 30 minutes of a pack dance for. I I think it's coming and going, I have no problem with. You know, get the and getting the finale and getting the send-off and getting that last private dance or the last dance or the circle around the couple. You're gonna miss all that, man, if you try and leave early. Uh they're just trying to skate early, is basically what they're trying to do. The the break part I don't really have a problem with. Right. For for them. Ear fatigue, uh carrying around two, three cameras. I get that part. And but again, by nine o'clock, they've been there for probably eight or nine hours already. Right. Because they did the hair, the makeup, yeah, behind the scenes shots, the you know, family photos. I'm okay with the break part, but saying you can get it all in 30 minutes is not true. I don't believe that part. I'm not that heated about this.

SPEAKER_10

That's pretty mild.

SPEAKER_08

Where are you?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, I yeah. Uh I agree with you. I think that you, if you think you can get it all in 30 minutes, I get what they're trying to say. That like to them it all looks the same.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_10

But to us as DJs, we see the difference between hour one and hour three. The moments, yeah. Like there's like little things, certain songs that I can't get to in the first 30 minutes. Sure. That I know are gonna get a reaction if you're gonna miss. Yeah, get to totally. Right. And they wouldn't know that because they're not, you know, DJs, they don't understand that part of the psychology to it. Well, I'm glad you're a little mild to this, because we're gonna move to off the record where I think you might get a little more heated.

SPEAKER_05

Uh off the record, let me talk my sugar on the ice tea. They throw a shade while I'm sipping on this ice tea. Don't care if you hate on like me. You know why, cause this is how I see the record of the record, off the record, off the record. Say it with your chest. Got a microphone, check it. I'm gonna say what I want to say. It's right time to rant and ready. Get out the way.

Off The Record Photographer Rant

SPEAKER_10

So here we go. Give us give us your little rant on photographers. I hear uh you're not feeling the love right now with these photographers. Oh, coffee's down. All right, you've been caffeinated.

SPEAKER_08

Jesus Christ, dude. This is a crazy way to start the day. I still do not understand why the fuck we are not getting pictures from any setting. Wedding show. I agree. Boutique wedding show. I agree. Where I'm talking about they'll send out the gallery. I've had two guys stood there all afternoon on their one day off on a Sunday with a beautiful DJ booth set up. No pictures. Cake lady got a picture. Bride on the mannequin got I mean the dress on the mannequin lady got a picture. Uh donut hole Daryl got a picture. Uh fucking fucking photo booth. Patty got a picture. It doesn't matter. Let's just say we're at the the blah blah blah house doing a boutique wedding show.

SPEAKER_09

Like a like a like a like a wedding show.

SPEAKER_08

For brides to like and grooms to to get hire their people they're looking at. So they've invited two intercob house. Gotcha, gotcha. We do we do them, not not me and you necessarily, but we do 20 a year. A year, easily, minimum, mostly at the beginning of the year, at uh everywhere from barns to mansions. We do all the boutique wedding shows that pretty much ask us. Now we've gotten to the point now where I start to look at how I'll email the guys from last year and go, hey, we just got hit up to do this again. What happened last year? Man, they had 12 brides. We talked to one, it was terrible. And I'll say, hey, we're just we don't have anybody to do that. We're we're all out of personnel. Like we don't have anybody. That's one place. Randy DJ the NACE wedding the other night, the the the NACE meeting the other night. I go through the gallery, there's picture of me and him talking. Randy is the DJ for the event. Zero of him at the booth. Wow. Yeah. And they left us off the slide, and I'm on the board. Wow. I I literally that she's going through and she goes, I'd like to thank our sponsor. We're sitting in an auditorium at the at a museum, and she goes, Um, so-and-so florists, so-and-so did the thing, and then she starts to move on to the other thing, and I go, Randy Bennett, like that, in the middle of the meeting, and they go, Oh my god, I'm so sorry. We left Randy Bennett.

SPEAKER_10

How do you leave sponsors off? I'm on the board free.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that's crazy. Andy's not in the photos. Uh weddings, yeah. The gallery show. We have an automated email that goes out from DJ Event Planner about six weeks after the wedding. Yeah. Hey, we did the wedding, you know, um Brian and Tara's wedding with you um May 5th or whatever. We'd love to get the gallery. Sure, here's the link with the password. I make Randy go through them all. It uh is a uh the the butter stack beside the rolls photographed beautifully with just just melted butter, just little but little butter balls. Lovely stack of butter balls. Yeah. Lovely knife jammed right in the middle. Randy Bennett behind the booth, nah. Not one. Might be in the background one. Blurry.

SPEAKER_10

But do you think that you you could I'm not kind of giving them a pass at all. I'm just saying Don't get can you would I mean if I know that they're not gonna take any, I'd be up to the photographer being like, yo, can you get a quick filter of this real quick? Like just to like make sure you have some documentation, especially if you're giving it for free.

SPEAKER_08

I've gotten to the point, me personally, whether I know them or not, where I'll where I have started to plant that seed during dinner. Yeah. Because we'll get you know they'll go, hey, in ballroom B, we got y'all a quick little meal or whatever. Yeah. Saquon and I'll walk in there and I'll be like, hey, what's up, guys? Hey, do you mind getting a couple shots of me tonight? And and it's gotten a little bit better since I've done that. Yeah. Or if I catch them at the beginning of the day, like during the ceremony, hey. Now, there are some that will do it no matter what. Yeah. That they will uh I don't need to ask. Right. I know I'm gonna get them. Right. So I don't want to say this is everybody, but it's 90 percentile of the events we do are getting nothing usable for content. And that's why, therefore, a lot of the the pictures you see on our Instagram, the Bun DJ Company Instagram, are just people dancing. Right. The DJ's not in it. Right. Because he didn't get shot. Right. I had one of those. I I I'm uh well aware before y'all try and come from my heads that the bride doesn't want a bunch of pictures of Randy Bennett, but we would like to have them and we are going to tag and and shout out the photographer every single time. Right.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I I I do you get a lot of pictures of yourself?

SPEAKER_10

Not really. I had a fantastic wedding that was like over the top, and I'm like in the I mean like far in the picture. I'm like, I get, you know, trying to get the the look of the older girl or the guy? I did. And it's it was really surprising that they didn't get one.

SPEAKER_08

No, I didn't. Okay.

SPEAKER_10

So but I should have.

SPEAKER_08

So do we need to take some of the onus ourselves?

SPEAKER_10

I'm just thinking, like, if it's an epic setup and it's something like that, then probably. Okay. All right. I'm fine with that. You might need to put a little fun DJ co email out to the guys to say, hey, if it's an epic setup and you want pictures, yeah, it might be a good idea just to go ahead and prime the pump.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

I don't know. Just throwing it out there.

Pumpkin Season Shows Up Too Early

SPEAKER_10

My rant isn't nearly there. But we're in September. Yeah. August, dude. I go to Starbs. They're already floating the drinks, bro. The pumpkin drinks. Oh, Jesus. So last night we go to go do some shopping. Okay. I see this thing in the on the aisle, and I'm just like, who is getting this? Pumpkin spice popcorn?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_10

I just don't understand the free session.

SPEAKER_08

Was it free sample? No, this was like I thought you got the free sample at Costco. Did you get any free samples at all?

SPEAKER_10

I did not.

SPEAKER_08

Damn.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. This is like uh, where was it? Fresh market. Oh, no, I thought you went to Costco yesterday. Oh, I did do that too, but we No free samples? No. Oh, they did have those, but they didn't have. But did you get any free samples? No, I'm too early. I see I go, I'm a VIP. Oh, I go to the executive level.

SPEAKER_08

When you told me you were at Costco, I was like, you're an actual sadomasochist. To go to Costco on a fucking Sunday 9 a.m.

SPEAKER_10

before the opening VIP. Okay, okay. Executive member. Right, right, right. Kirkland. Right. Official. But dude, I just don't know.

SPEAKER_08

Do you are you into the pumpkin thing? No. On everything? No. I don't pumpkin spice anything. I don't like the candles, the coffee, the condoms. I don't like any of this.

SPEAKER_10

It's just crazy that this is like taking over so early.

SPEAKER_08

Like I can understand September, maybe. August is still 100 degrees. That's way pre-fall. Pre-pre-fall. Is that fall anywhere? No, I don't think so. September 21st is.

SPEAKER_03

You think we'll get fall this year?

SPEAKER_08

They're saying it's gonna be messed up because of the drought. That the trees aren't gonna change the right way. Did you I heard that on the news yesterday?

SPEAKER_03

I didn't hear that.

SPEAKER_08

I think it was real news. Actually, it's gonna be cold. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's gonna be cold. You think so? That's what they say.

SPEAKER_08

Well, I'm gonna tell you this. September 21st, I think, is the last day of summer. So that to me is when you could start pumpkin in it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Pumpkin in it. So by the time this drops, we'll be in that pumpkin season. Yeah, not August. Yeah, it's crazy. Pre-pumpkin. They're trying to get too much pumpkin out of the pumpkin. Actually, at Costco, they had Christmas trees out. Stop.

SPEAKER_09

I'm not kidding. I'm like, we're not even to Thanksgiving yet. We're not even to Halloween for that matter. I'm like, bro, we're getting the Christmas stuff out yet.

SPEAKER_08

That's blasphemy. It's crazy. Blasphemy. Any reason to sell something. I just picked up a last minute Halloween wedding. Did you? Yeah. In the mountains. Full price. Wow. Second wedding. Can you go with me? Let me check. Okay. All right. Are you going to dress up? No, it's not. They're not leaning into the theme. Oh. It just happens to be on a Saturday this year. Because you got that Chippendale costume that you could just pull out of a closet. Just go straight down to the skibbies. Just go straight. That is no costume. Straight to the draws. We need a poost out.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it's at the story time. Uh-oh.

Planner Luncheon Strategy And Gifting

SPEAKER_09

So you haven't really been doing a whole lot of gigs. Nah. What you what have you been up to?

SPEAKER_08

Well, beach. I ran the beach hard this summer, man. Um man, it was like I'd go to the beach, then come back and work in the office. I'd go back to the beach. Yeah. Um I didn't I'll go. You need it.

SPEAKER_09

Well, I'm sure you got your stacked fall.

SPEAKER_08

It's it's coming. Yeah. The fall's pretty stacked for us. Right. We look good starting this week. Um so this will be you know 17th will be this huge fundraiser at Angus Barn. Yeah. 18th, uh streaming for Epic Games right here in this very office right in front of this wall. And then 19th, we're back on the wedding grind again.

SPEAKER_10

And then you said you're doing uh planner dinner.

SPEAKER_08

We are. We're having a planner luncheon. Luncheon. Not dinner, taco luncheon. What you did last year. We did it two years ago. Oh, yeah. No. Randy said it was two years ago.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

And it was great. Huge hit. I just think we forgot to do it last year. Yeah. During the week. During the week, I think it's on a Monday. No, it's a Tuesday. I think it's actually Taco Tuesday. Oh. Okay. Little taco luncheon. And you did a little gifting. We did gifting. I think we have 45 people coming. Nice. Yeah. And we're doing gifting.

SPEAKER_10

And were you targeting these specific planners? Planners only. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. E-bite. Yeah. We did an e-bite to probably a list of 75. And I think we said you could bring like a number two or whatever. And some some girl hit us back and was like, Can I bring these seven? We were like, nah. Seven associates. Yeah. I said, nah. Seven's crazy. Yeah. Bring your top two. Too many margaritas.

SPEAKER_10

Bring top two. Seven is nuts. So you hit me up for some gifting ideas, but what did you end up going with? I felt like I gave you some premium ideas.

SPEAKER_08

Listen, man. I'm not gonna lie, dude. You did a great, you did a great job. Like I I really liked your ideas. And I don't I went through all of them and everything. And then landed on this. Well, I I I have a guy, and I just said, hey man, like we're trying to, you know, do this thing. It's mostly planners. Wedding season's coming. So it's like this um canvas kind of bag, branded, but everything in it is like m made for like chill. Like it's got the the back rubber. Oh, I love those. You know, the the little but it's branded, right? We got the the freezer thing, the eye mask or whatever, right? Branded. We got neck pillow, blow up neck pillow. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Branded. Okay. We with these were separate, but I had like some iTech's credit. I'm at Barter Group. It's lavender and mint bath salts. Nice. Smells good. So more like recovery. Lip balm, branded. Yeah. I like it. Recovery. Or like pre uh earplugs, eye mask. Branded. Yeah. But what do you think? You think look, and then crayons branded with a little Zen coloring book. Branded.

SPEAKER_10

Interesting.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know why that was thrown in. Yeah, I don't know why.

SPEAKER_10

It's an adult coloring book. Oh, it's an adult. Look. Oh, interesting.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe you wait for a flight. Yeah. Is that back?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. I don't know. It must be Zen. Must be. So. Do you like the satchel though? I do. But I'm just wondering, like, I feel like people are kind of moving away from like, I just know myself from the from the branded stuff. I'm like, I don't want everything to say someone's company name isn't a good thing.

SPEAKER_08

Well, to be fair, most of it is like the pack. Like that's true. The the neck pillow, the little satchel is branded, but the like it makes I'm gonna forget who sent it to me.

SPEAKER_10

I know, I know what you're saying. But I like the bag. The bag I love. I'll say that. Thanks, man. Good job. So what did that run you? If you don't mind sharing. Maybe 20. Okay. 20 times how many planners? 50. A G. Okay. Probably a G, I think. Yeah, that's good. And that was locally sourced, or something that you can get online? Uh, I have a guy. Okay. Mike Garossi. He's actually a DJ as well. Oh, I know Mike. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's done good stuff for us from the past. Would you um would you be willing to share any of that content, that that stuff that you got and any of that on the Patreon? I'm just throwing out that as an idea.

SPEAKER_08

Absolutely. Absolutely. On this episode, it will add that. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I think you should go back to that text chain or that email chain and and show some of the stuff. Oh, yeah. I could do that. We'll get uh our our assistant to put together a sheet.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Because you had some killer ideas.

SPEAKER_10

And mine was about the same price.

SPEAKER_08

It was about the same price, and it wasn't branded, but it was it was personal. Yeah. They were more like personalized items. I think the problem with me is I got worried about the plus ones. Right. And a lot of these people I don't know that well.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then it's like you bring the plus one, they don't have the Kelly thing or whatever. Like, yeah, yeah. You gotta be really organized to make a move. And it's like they're they're RSVPing up to the last minute. So I just needed like a Right, quick hitter. Yeah. Like done is better than perfect. I get it. I totally get it. I'm just like turn and burn, rip and dip, like check it off the to-do list and we're done.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

All right.

Turning 55 And Party Plans

SPEAKER_10

So uh your birthday will have just passed when this drops. Okay. Uh you want to share with what you're doing? What are you doing? I mean, this is a 55er. 55. I mean I I don't think. Stop on the fives. Okay. Those are legit.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. I I don't know. I was in Wilson, which is my hometown, about 45 minutes east of here, one night at dinner with my mom. And a friend of mine named Gentry Robinson was at the table next to mine and was like, We're turning 55 this year. And she and I literally have the same birthday. We were born the same day, same hospital, same time. Literally, like in the little things beside each other. Wow. So we've been friends for 55 years. Who came out first? Uh don't know. Don't know. That's a great question. Yeah. I'd have to look at my birth certificate. You're gonna recreate it? We may, we may come out. I'm a canal. To debut myself at this birthday party, I build a giant womb complete with afterbirth, and I'm gonna jump out of it.

SPEAKER_07

10 centimeters? Butt naked. I'm gonna jump out of it butt naked. The same size wiener I had when I was an int. Ain't nothing changed, baby.

SPEAKER_08

Ain't nothing changed for the damn bald head. I'm definitely doing this. This is a great idea. Like a you got like a slide? You got like an embryonic sack, and I just step out butt naked, dick swinging.

SPEAKER_07

You start crying, and you slap the shit out of me. Let's do it. That's great. Oh, god dang it. Let's do it, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Um, so you just throwing a little bit of a couple of things. I'm crying a little bit anyway.

SPEAKER_08

She goes, we should have a birthday party. And I go, Yeah, cool, we should. And she goes, we should do it here in the restaurant that we're at, because that's like the good restaurant in Wilson, the one. Right. And I go, yeah, cool. And the next thing I know, I'm at the beach with my mom, like three months later or something. This let's say this was in January or February of this year. Yeah. And mom's like, you know, Gentry's going around town saying y'all are having a birthday party of pups. And I go, Pops? What? And I go, What? What do you mean? And she goes, Yeah, she's like saying it. And I go, Oh, that was I thought that was just drunk talk. Oh no. Next thing you know, I'm in. Wow. So I think it's gonna be a good hundred people. Randy's gonna set the scene. Then I guess uh you know I brought in the Ragozas. Oh I brought in some ringers because I was like, Yeah, we can't just like if we're we gotta go full throttle.

SPEAKER_10

But I can't imagine uh Wiltson going late. They're not like that.

SPEAKER_08

That's the beauty of it. That's why I was telling you, seven to ten. Seven to ten. And it's and it's part of the week, too, right? No, no, no, no, it's a Friday. Oh, Friday, okay. But it's outside. Oh so they they're they're adjacent to like a neighborhood. Yeah. So he said anything after 10, we're gonna get lucky if we can go past. Yeah. Because the police will come. Yeah. Police. Nice. The police. I got it. Anyway, I thought about it. You think you can come? Are you working? 25th, September. Anyway. Okay. Well, you're on the list.

SPEAKER_10

You're on the list. Of course.

Health Testing And The Basketball Comeback

SPEAKER_10

Well, I've been working on a few short gigs, but I decided to get my function health test done. Yeah, I know. So I don't have the uh results yet. But and did I get a credit for that? No. I don't think so. I think I had to pay the renewal. The first one I got gifted, I think by you. Maybe. But then the second one, they're like, Yeah, I gotta be up. Yeah. Renewal came in.

SPEAKER_08

I was like, ouch. I know. I only paid for it twice, I think.

SPEAKER_10

But uh I had somebody hit me up about joining this basketball league. Now I played this story's crazy, like for a while, you know, back in the day. Like even when I lived in New York, I played in record leagues and I was an ajuco player. So like I'm okay.

SPEAKER_08

I've seen you play, and I was, I don't want to say shocked, but I was like, oh, he can he's an actual good player. Yeah. Like I I don't know. I mean, I I remember when you schooled my son when he was little, but I also think I saw you play. Remember we used to do it at the DJ City? We did. Yeah. That's right, that's right. Like we would go to a city and like the night the day before the tournament or the morning of the morning of we would throw a little game. Right. Anyway, Brian B can ball. Don't don't sleep on Brian B's skills.

SPEAKER_10

So this guy's like, hey, you want to join our league? And I'm like, I'm like, okay, yeah, I'll I'll I'll why not? I need to do it. Anyways, get my cardio up, right? So I go in the closet, pull out my gym bag, which I hadn't pulled out in about 10 years. Okay, I haven't played in a while. I've been working out, but I just haven't played playing ball. So I got my my my ball that's flat in there.

SPEAKER_07

Let me pump this up.

SPEAKER_10

I got the shoes, I got all the things. I go to the gym, I put everything on. And uh I'm late, of course, because I couldn't find the gym. It was like in this weird school or whatever. But anyway, uh so no stretching. Just get out there and pull it off. No stretching is dangerous. Yeah. 45 seconds in, flat tire on the shoe. Blue them out. Blue them out. It's like flopping. I'm like, what's happening? Weird. So I'm like, I'll just I'll just like make it work. I'm just gonna be ginger. 45 seconds later, the other one flops off. No.

unknown

Damn.

SPEAKER_10

And these are old Jordans. They were old Jordans, yeah. I saw them. But I take good care of my stuff, so like I don't really need to see that.

SPEAKER_08

That's how Nikes are when you don't wear them. But the blue, the blue, I think went bad. That's right.

SPEAKER_10

You didn't insert a picture? Oh, no, I brought them. Oh, you got them.

SPEAKER_09

I I brought them.

SPEAKER_10

So if you're watching the video, you'll be able to see this. Here's the first one. Look at these things, bro. I can't remember what number these are. Feel the front. No, the front. Oh, wow. Like they totally came off. They were like flopping. That was that was the first one that went. And then the second one, this is worse. I think it was because I was. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

Like you can see like a damn shark mouth.

SPEAKER_07

Dinosaur. So they're going in.

SPEAKER_08

These were the ones that were like designed after Ferraris or something. I can't remember the number on these. Look at that. The glue is just gone. There is none. There is none.

SPEAKER_10

And it happened so quick. I was like, oh my God. So all I had in the car were the boosts that I gave you. I got all right now.

SPEAKER_08

The 14s. They're the 14s.

SPEAKER_10

So I got the boosts in the car. And then you just balled in the tried. You know, because it was like you can't really, you can roll an ankle, really. Absolutely. And the soul is black. Right. Meanwhile, these dudes were not my age. I was the oldest by about 20 years. These dudes were like the whitest by 20 years. I think there was there were three of us. These dudes were players. Like legit division two guys that are some of them probably uh like are they in their 20s or their 30s? No, no, no. They're in their 20s.

SPEAKER_08

They're still playing. Oh no.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. I'm like, where's the other guys? Where's the thing? Yeah, yeah. Where's the where's the men's league? This is guys. I'm still smelling the BO coming from the thing. I'm like, yo, man, I think I'm in the room. I'm in the B E room. I don't know what happened. Oh, geez. Well, luckily I earned some street cred because I I know what I I mean, I was like, okay, I just need to play great defense. I just need to like lock some people up. And I did, I did pretty well. Like I didn't shoot great. I mean, I that's usually my calling card, but I didn't try to either. I'm like, I just need to not twist an ankle. Right, right. Well, it's winner stay on the court.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

So we win the first one.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

We win the second one. We win the third. And we don't get a break.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_10

And I'm like, yo, man, like, I'm like three in. I'm like, I think I got one more in me. Maybe. You know? You ain't had no sub? No subs. All five. So we so the and I think our whole team was gassed at that point, too. Even these young pups. So uh the fourth one, we uh we ended up losing, and I was like, I think that's my calling here. Get out of here. So I get in the car, bro, and I am just tore up.

SPEAKER_08

Like I no, you told me next hey you were in my.

SPEAKER_10

I couldn't move. I literally could not move. I I go, I gotta go to the stretch place immediately. And they got you back, right? They did. I mean, at first I thought there's no way this is even gonna work. So I got stretched out. I had two massive blusters on my big toes that I'm like, these came from those horrible shoes I had that were I shouldn't have been playing in, anyways. So they called me the next week to see if I was gonna play. I was like, I think I'm gonna set this one out for a little bit and just like recoup until I can get better. But uh, you have not been back. So I've not been back since I gotta get some shoes. You definitely need some shoes. Uh holy shit. It was crazy. That's nuts. So that's been my little health journey.

Five Hours Of Disco And Crate Finds

SPEAKER_10

But the one gig I had, which was pretty good, was a disco party. Yeah. This couple we're both turning 50. Okay. I've been doing a lot of birthdays this year. It's crazy how many birthdays I've been doing. Yeah. Uh so I don't know what what's up with that, but they saw me on uh Instagram when I was doing Instagram live streams in 2020. Stop. That's how they found me. There's no way. Yeah, they've been waiting for an opportunity to bring me in, apparently. This was in Boston. They threw a studio 54 themed kind of party. I put a little picture of. Okay. Yeah, they'd have this like little um you know red carpet area where they had all the stuff. Step and repeat. Yeah, so it's pretty good. Um and but I played five hours of disco. Now they said studio 54 with an edge. So they wanted me to kind of like mix it up, and I'm like, okay, but they don't want any of the standard stuff, which made it tough because it's like five hours of one genre is just a lot. Now, the last 30 minutes they let me kind of like move into some other things, but four and a half hours deep, all disco cuts, which I haven't done in a long time. I wouldn't want to do it. So that helps us move into our next segment, which is crate finds to share with you some of these tracks. Okay. So, number one, I actually made a mix of the first hour, which is on MixedCloud currently. Nice. Uh, I'll share the actual MP3s I used for that first hour. But I wanted to share with you some of the tracks I used. Wait, where are you gonna share the MP3s? Oh, they'll be in the backroom bonus content on patreon.com slash beyond the DJ Booth Podcast. So if you're looking for it, go there. But these five tracks did really well for me from that specific party. I don't know. The first one here. This is a song I hadn't heard in a while. Shalomar. Do you know the song called Second Time Around? Absolutely. I was not familiar with this. Really? As I was digging deep in my library, realized I had it. Shalomar's a banger. 112 BPM, go for it.

SPEAKER_08

I love this song.

SPEAKER_10

I'm like, this one I need to just add to my rotation in general. Were people dancing the whole time? They were. I didn't have a great view. We'll get to that in a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

I know you come a long way, baby.

SPEAKER_10

Great song. But if you don't need that I forgot about this song altogether. But I felt like this is one of those ones that's like a not an obvious disco banger. Right.

SPEAKER_11

But you can't keep running away.

SPEAKER_10

What a great vocal song, yeah. I love this song. So I played this like I don't know, hour two, probably. Yeah. Just kind of resetting. It was tough to find ones that were in that like 112, like lower BPM ranges. Because there's not a whole lot. No, most like 125 and up. Yeah. Another one that I really loved was this other uh song called Dan by Dan Hartman called Relight My Fire. Familiar with it? Mm-mm. If you like this. I know Dan Hartman.

SPEAKER_08

Keyboards.

SPEAKER_10

Little horns.

SPEAKER_06

It's just like one of those ones I wouldn't have thought of, but like Jamiraqu. That does have that kind of vibe. It's the same voice, same gun. Okay. Good thing. I don't hate it. Swear to god, it's kind of just like Jamiraqu.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. Early night. Yeah. Now, as we move into a little bit later moving into the more familiar stuff, this one I gotta give our boy Fuse a shout out. He did the whole, like, for a while, some edits that he called the Sunshine Edits. Okay. This is a disco uh version of uh How Deep Is Your Love by the Bee Lee's. But he really grooved it up to about 120, which I think the original is like 108 or something like that. BPM range, it is. I use this like the first hour. Kind of a break because I kind of needed these like little moments where there's nothing just to reveal you played this stuff for five hours. Five hours is a long time. I like this. Is it a good one? Yeah. But it doesn't feel too fast, right? It just feels kind of like the other one's almost too ballad y original. It's got a little bounce to it. Yeah. Shout out Fuse. So the next one I did was this uh blend. This is where I kind of took segues where I would play the original first and then go into some kind of blend that I so this is uh Hollywood swinging.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, cool.

SPEAKER_10

Uh no. Oh uh hot in here. Jesus. Do what you think. This was like peak, peak time of a party.

SPEAKER_02

It's getting hot.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

unknown

So take off all your codes.

SPEAKER_10

But again, I'd already played Hollywood swinging for a little bit. Did this go off? It did. I couldn't do all blends all night. I had to like layer these in time.

SPEAKER_08

It's a weird age though, because like well, 50. I thought was a weird time to play a disco party. That's I mean a little bit before them. Yeah. Right? Yeah. All right.

SPEAKER_10

They would have been like kids in the 70s. Literally. Last one here. This is called uh More Spell on You by the Lens Anzer. But this is that was the original song that was behind Daft Punk's One More Time. Oh wow. So I found that, and I found this edit, which was by DJ Klutch, and I redid it because his went to like really progressive house. But this had a vocal already layered into it that was like a narrator. So I'm playing it from that part. So this is when I was taking the party from like gentlemen, welcome to the disco.

SPEAKER_04

Interesting. Who's ready to brew?

SPEAKER_10

So I played all that stuff earlier.

SPEAKER_04

Now I'm like one more time.

SPEAKER_06

Did you eventually go in one more time? Oh that's how I made the edit. Oh, you made it. Oh, there it is.

SPEAKER_10

Oh yeah. I'd be hyped at this party. Right? So now we're into like new disco kind of hike housing stuff, but I could kind of get out of it for a hot minute to kind of circle back.

SPEAKER_08

Anyway, I felt like I programmed it pretty well. Oh, dude. I mean, if that's what they wanted and you were doing shit like this, uh the yeah, I bet you left there like a hero. Yeah. Yeah. It was good. It's too long though.

SPEAKER_10

The party's too long. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, we'll have those edits up on the uh Patreon. Good shit, man. Let's hit the gear corner.

Gear Corner And The New Backpack

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

The gear's here. The gear is here.

SPEAKER_02

Is here is here. Is here is here. Is here is here.

SPEAKER_10

Alright, dude. I got uh uh my backpack, my UDG, my one from Europe. Okay. Finally, finally I had a layer down. She's done. Zippers broke. I had had it for five years. But I never really liked this version of it. It was too small. Okay. So I got targeted on Instagram by this company called Viera. Or Varia, I think maybe. Anyway, the commercial can explain it better than I could, so I put it the post of it up here.

SPEAKER_00

This is a variable track. I got targeted by this thing actually is. Right here on the face, you're gonna have one, two, and three hard shell pockets. This little guy up here is perfect for things like earbuds. Got another one here, maybe for your bathroom essentials. And you got one more right here, maybe for some snacks or any other travel items. Flip it to the side. You're gonna have another pocket right here. And you see this here? This is a little clip for your keys. That thing clips in super fast and easy. Flip it to the other side. Check out the size of that water bottle pocket. Let's take a look at this side. If we get these out of the way, you're gonna have a decent sized pocket right down here. Got some really nice padding for your shoulders and lower back. And that same padding is on these straps, too. And I love this. They hit a little pocket right here on the strap, too. Now let's open this guy up. Look at all that space. Got a couple dividers right here. Nice pocket right up here. And if we flip this around, there's a nice big pocket across that padding for your laptop. That should keep it nice and safe on your adventures. Taking a look at the top here, there's actually a little three-number code, although I'm not really sure what that's for. And there's gonna be a really discrete little pocket here, maybe for something like your wallet. Oh, check this out. It came with another little lock. And there's an extra clip in there, too. We intercept two extra clips. And we haven't even gone to the main pocket yet. So let's take a look. Looks like you got two little side pockets right here, a nice big space for all your clothes. And somehow I missed this. This cord is for a portable charger, which is gonna exit out the bottom of the bag. And somehow I missed this too. There's a pocket here on the bottom of the bag. Look how big that is. That's one of the wildest things I've used. Let me see what the hype is about. All right, they said that they engineered this for travel and they were not joking. I know a lot of people complain about the price of this thing too, but if you're gonna go spend a whole bunch of money on luggage, you might as well pick up something like this. Plus, at the time of making this video, they have this thing stupid cheap for travel season. Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna link it in the bottom left for you. Like I said, the sale on this thing is stupid cheap right now for travel season. So if you want to grab one, I'd do it quick.

SPEAKER_10

Man, it's nice. They make two versions of sizes, 20 liter and then 35 liter. What'd you get? A 35. So I got it right here sitting next to me. Let me see. It's a little heavy right now because I got a bunch of stuff in it. And I added a couple other carabiners to it.

SPEAKER_02

But um, this is really nice.

SPEAKER_10

Right? Yeah. Built really well.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

Anyway, I've only been using it two or three times. That's my my uh credit credit cards and a little extra cache. How much? What do you think? 250. Wow. 150. 149 all in with the shipping. It was actually 129. I think I paid an extra 20 for uh shipping and stuff. You're using this for your DJ bag. My DJ bag. So I can get there's two laptops in it currently. Um can I ask why you don't like the jetpack bags? I just I haven't found the one you like. Never found the one I liked. And to be completely honest with you.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, because they that's what they do. I mean, like they are this is a it could be for any for anything.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, right. Yeah. The other reason why, too, honestly, and this is just goes to my not wanting to follow the sheep. Every DJ has one. Sure. So I kind of wanted to do something a little different. It's cool. But for the 35 liter, solid. Oh, no, you can fit a ton of stuff in there. I got two laptops and they're in different parts. Yeah. Anyway, been so far very happy. Okay. I feel like the build is really good.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, it's not like let me know how it holds up. It's a great bag. I love it.

Hobbies Time Blocking And Life Balance

SPEAKER_10

Our boy Trego, the DJ. I think we've talked a little bit about this today. How do you incorporate hobbies into your life and what benefit has that generated for you?

SPEAKER_08

I mean, I think you just have to make the time, right? Make the time. Yeah. That's it. And whether you are comfortable or at a position in your career where you can actually mark off weekends or days that you're not going to work, yeah. Or you just get to a price point where you're not possibly gonna get booked every weekend, and that works as well. And then find something that you genuinely love to do. I mean, the problem with you and Trago is that you're in a weird time right now. Yeah, with the kiddo. With the kids. Yeah. Right. My kids are are men now. They're 18 and 21. You know, your daughter's six or whatever. Yeah. So, you know, you text me the other day and like, I'm going to somewhere, like some farm. And I'm like, bro, I've I did all that when they were that age. And, you know, and it's a hundred degrees, and maybe you don't want to go and it's your one day off, but like you're gonna look back on that shit. Like I texted you, and you're gonna be like, that those are the memories that you made for her and for yourself that are gonna last forever. Because when she turns about 13 or 14, she's gonna kick your ass right at the curb. Totally. You ain't shit anymore. Right. So you got eight more years of enjoying that. Of enjoying that.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And he, I don't think his kids are very old either. Like table that hobby idea for a few more years. Right. Now, me, I to be fair, I would love to have something other than like having to go to the beach or you know, I don't, I'm not a really a freshwater kind of fisherman. Like, I pretty much want to go to the beach and fish. I want to be outside.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_08

Right. And I would like to have what I what I regret more than anything is that in high school or college or something, that I didn't take some sort of like auto mechanic class. Like I will my feed right now is nothing but people buying like mopeds and lawnmowers and like shitty cars on Facebook Marketplace, fixing them, flipping them, and then making money on them. Wow. That's all I watch now. Wow. And I'm like, and I'm like, dude, how cool would it be to have a friend that could do that shit? Or you could just go over there on a Saturday and just be like, yo, let's go buy some shitty moped right now, fix it up and make $200 off. Wow. My feed is SB Mowing right now. Oh, I love SB mowing. I love SB Mowing. It's like he he rolls up on people's houses that are overgrown and stuff, and he goes, knocks on the door, and then he just films him like I can watch that for hours, bro. Hours. Hours I can just watch those. It's so satisfying. Anyway, I I think you just have to either set aside time or get to the price point where you're not booked every weekend. Look at your calendar. Once you're not booked, and go, hey, I'm gonna go hiking. I'm gonna go. I mean, I used to love those remote control cars with my kids. Man, we would take those things all over the place and go, you know, work on them and jump mountains with them and like, you know, the fast ones, the good ones.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, yeah. My my answer to this is I think two things. One, I love my job. I love what I do. Yeah. Uh we had this, we had we just bought this card game at the house where during dinner we each draw a card and it's a question. It's just like a conversation starter. Right. So last night it was like if you could have one day where you could do whatever you wanted, uh-huh, what would you do? Uh-huh. And I had a tough time answering that. Right. Because honestly, I love music so much that I would love to just sit at the computer and do that. And I know that's not like but you have to think of outside of that, you know. Sure. At least for them too. Because they want to do they want to hang out with you and they don't have to do it as what much as you are. Right. So I was like, okay, if I could design my perfect day, yeah. I get up, great coffee, yeah, go to a great food spot. Sure. Love those two things. Yeah. Massage a hundred percent. I I crushed one two days ago. And then uh what did I say? Oh, I want to watch a little bit of the Lakers game. Okay. Those are my those are my and then have a great dinner with friends. It's a great day. And that to me would be like the perfect day. It's a great day. And it's not like there's a ton of, you know, uh hobbies in there. I mean, actually, I and I did say actually I would want to have a workout in there. Okay. And and that's kind of self-fulfilling too, because I want to make sure I'm healthy for my family. But like I've actually enjoyed doing that kind of stuff. And I make time in my calendar to do it. Even, and I think that's one of the luxuries we have as DJs, is that during the week we can find pockets of time. I mean, I do my workouts at my house. I've built out a little studio and I don't even have to go to the gym. Just do it right there.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

And I feel great after doing it. Yeah. So I think you just got to make the time to fill the cup with other things than just, you know, self-serving with DJing.

SPEAKER_08

I'm just not a, I mean, I I'm I'm asked once a week, how do you do everything, Joe? How do you get all that stuff done? How do you do all these different businesses? I'm not, I'm just, I'm not a time waster. Right. I'm not a I'm I'm very hyper organized. I'm here by eight. I leave by five. I'm at the gym 5.30 to 6.15. I'm cooking dinner by 6.30, and I'm watching TV by nine. Right. Off the computer, like whatever. Like I'm just, I don't, there's no time wasting. Right. I'm not a gamer. I know there's gamer DJ friends of ours, and I just think that is a I know that's probably a hobby for some people. I think it's just a waste of time.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_08

I don't want to get into it. I don't give a fuck that GTA is coming out. I don't want to play FIFA with some dude in Istanbul that's, you know, calling me a cracker. Or I just don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not a gamer. I don't, you know, I never got into drugs. I drink uh once a week, if that. Right. You know, and it's usually we're going out to dinner, there's some social scene. Like I just there's just things that I don't, I don't, I think are just not really part of my day. Yeah. And I'm just very good with my time. Yeah. I'm not a big scroller. I'm not gonna sit there for hours and next thing you know, I've watched 20 YouTube videos and 2,000 reels. Like I don't do that. Right. I'm not really a content watcher, I'm a creator. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Anyway, I hope that helps a little bit, Trago. Shout out, Trago. Yeah.
